Art Deco is the style that swept through the most fashionable circles in the 1920s and 1930s. The name is derived from the title of the Paris exhibition of 1925, the ‘Exposition des Arts Décoratifs’. The look was luxurious and opulent, with rounded curves and corners, inside and out, based on geometric shapes. Created in 2007, the Frédérique Constant Art Deco collection is a balanced combination of modern materials and vintage aesthetics that celebrates femininity through a classic and timeless design featuring minimalist details.
Established in 1988 by Dutch entrepreneur Peter Stas and his wife and fellow entrepreneur Aletta Stas-Bax, Frederique Constant pay close attention to design, innovation and quality. Each timepiece is hand-assembled and controlled over a long period of time to ensure the highest possible standard of timekeeping, making no compromises along the way.
